Scór na mBunscol ‘School of the Year’ 2023!
We were very proud and excited to be named the ‘School of the Year’ for 2023 at the Scór na mBunscol Final last week in Abbeylara. This is thanks to the efforts of the children and teachers involved in all 10 categories that we entered.
We were represented in the final by our mixed and girls’ set dancers, recitation and figure dancers. It was a great achievement to come away with 2 gold and 1 bronze medal on the night as the standard across all categories was very high.
Scór has given the children a chance to develop their talents in music, drama and dancing. As well as building their self-confidence and performance skills. It is not easy to get up on stage in front of a large audience and perform and we are extremely proud of all of our pupils for doing this with distinction and representing our school with pride.
It takes a lot of time, effort and dedication to prepare for a competition like this so well done to all involved!
